Victory VCI Tips

Get the most out of your Victory VCI® Bags with these expert usage and storage tips. Whether you're storing a single handgun or an entire collection, these guidelines ensure maximum corrosion protection for the life of the bag.

Long-Term Rust Prevention

Victory VCI® Gun Bags protect firearms and metal accessories from rust for over three years once sealed. No oil, no cleanup, just clean, dry, trusted protection backed by MIL-DTL-22020E (Tactical Grade) standards.

How to Use

Insert clean, dry items into the bag. Fold and tuck to seal, or use a tie or band (not included). Store in a cool, shaded area. Rust protection begins once sealed and ends when opened.

No Extra Products Needed

Desiccants, Emitters & Diffusers

Victory's advanced VCI formula eliminates the need for desiccants, emitters, or diffusers. You don't need moisture absorbers or secondary corrosion agents, the bag does all the work.

Gun Oil Guidance

Light oil coatings are acceptable, but heavy oil can block the VCI vapor from forming a full protective layer. For best results, use clean, dry metal surfaces before sealing.

Heat Sealing Option

Victory VCI® Gun Bags can be heat sealed for added protection during long-term storage or shipping. Heat sealing creates a waterproof barrier, making the bag ideal for extended or outdoor storage environments.

Compatible Metals

Victory VCI® Bags prevent rust on a wide range of metals, including carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, brass, copper, nickel, tin, lead, bronze, galvanized steel, and alloys with copper or manganese. They are also safe for precious metals and electronics.

Moisture-Tolerant Protection

Even if a small amount of moisture is present inside the bag, Victory VCI® still inhibits corrosion. Engineered for real-world conditions, not just ideal ones.

Durable and Reusable

Made from heavy-duty, tear-resistant 4-mil polyethylene plastic. Bags can be reused and patched with tape if needed, making them a long-term value for any storage setup.

Safe for Electronics & Optics

Victory VCI® Bags are RoHS compliant and safe for use with scopes, stocks, and electronic gear, no risk of chemical damage to sensitive components.

Material Transparency

Victory VCI® Bags are engineered for long‑term corrosion protection using clean, dry Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor technology. Once sealed, the bags create an invisible protective environment around metal surfaces without oils, residues, or chemicals. The light blue tint allows easy visual inspection of contents without opening the bag.

What Is VCI?

VCI stands for Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor, a safe, odorless, invisible vapor that forms a protective molecular layer on metal surfaces to prevent rust and tarnish. Learn more from the Association for Materials Protection & Performance (AMPP), of which Victory Plastic is a proud member since 2014.

Important Note

Victory VCI® Bags are not Velcro or zipper-style. These closure types can degrade over time, allowing protective vapor to escape. Velcro may trap debris, and zippers can jam or fail with dust exposure compromising long-term protection.
