Dedicated corrosion protection inside the storage system you already use.

YOUR LONG GUN IS STORED. BUT IS THE METAL PROTECTED?

Your rifle or shotgun may spend weeks, months, or even years inside a gun safe, hard case, soft case, or cabinet.

A gun safe provides security and organization, but environmental conditions can still vary. Hard and soft cases serve important storage and transportation purposes, but those functions do not automatically create dedicated corrosion protection around the metal.

Victory VCI® Long Gun Bags create an enclosed corrosion-protection environment around the firearm during storage.

Once the bag is properly closed, the Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor technology built into the film spreads throughout the enclosed space. It surrounds exposed exterior metal and reaches accessible interior metal surfaces where the vapor can circulate, helping protect against rust and corrosion.

Simply place a clean, dry firearm inside, close the open end, and return it to its normal storage location.

Protection continues working while the firearm sits.

HOW VICTORY VCI® WORKS

The corrosion protection is built directly into the film. Learn how Victory VCI® technology works.

Once the firearm is placed inside and the open end is properly closed, invisible Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor molecules release into the enclosed space.

The VCI vapor circulates around exposed metal surfaces and forms a temporary protective molecular layer that helps interrupt the corrosion process.

It surrounds exposed exterior metal and reaches accessible interior metal surfaces where the vapor can circulate.

NO OILS. NO SPRAYS. NO DESICCANTS TO REPLACE.

No heavy preservative coating is required to activate the corrosion protection, and there is no heavy coating to remove before normal inspection and handling.

The protection is built directly into the film.

THE OPEN-TOP ADVANTAGE

YOUR STORAGE. YOUR CLOSURE.

The flexible open-top design allows you to choose the closure method that works best for how frequently the firearm will be accessed and how long it will remain stored.

  • Fold and Tuck: A convenient option for firearms accessed more frequently.
  • Tie or Band: Gather the opening and secure it with a suitable tie or band.
  • Tape: A secured option for seasonal or extended storage.
  • Heat Seal: An option for extended storage.

You are not limited to one built-in closure method.

A zipper is only fully closed when the slider reaches the end of the track. If it stops short, an opening remains.

Hook-and-loop closures depend on the fastening surfaces remaining clean and fully engaged. Lint, fibers, dirt, and debris can collect in the closure over time.

The Victory VCI® open-top design lets you choose a closure that is easy to see and confirm.

Choose the closure. Confirm it is closed. Put it away protected.

Closure materials are not included.

  • Package Contents: Three reusable long gun bags
  • Dimensions: 12″ wide × 48″ long
  • Material: Heavy-duty 4-mil VCI polyethylene
  • Construction: Tubular design with no side seams
  • Bottom: Reinforced triple seal
  • Opening: Flexible open-top design
  • Film Color: Translucent blue
  • Protection: 3+ years

The tubular construction eliminates side seams, while the reinforced triple-sealed bottom adds strength where the bag carries the firearm's weight.

The translucent blue film makes it easier to identify the stored firearm without fully removing it from the bag.

REUSABLE PROTECTION

Victory VCI® Long Gun Bags can be reused as long as they remain clean, dry, undamaged, and able to be properly closed.

Inspect the bag before returning the firearm to storage. Replace it if it becomes torn, punctured, heavily contaminated, or unable to maintain a proper closure.

PROTECT MORE THAN THE PURCHASE PRICE

Rust and corrosion can affect a firearm's appearance, finish, condition, and value.

Some rifles and shotguns mean much more than what they originally cost. They may represent a first hunting season, time spent with a parent or grandparent, a family tradition, or something intended for the next generation.

Victory VCI® helps preserve appearance, condition, and value during storage.

PROTECT THE RIFLE YOU PLAN TO HAND DOWN.

Victory VCI® adds a simple layer of rust and corrosion protection during the long periods when the firearm is sitting in storage.

THE CLEAN STORAGE ADVANTAGE

Storage Consideration Victory VCI® Bags Heavy Preservative Coatings Desiccants
How it works VCI vapor helps protect exposed metal inside the properly closed bag. A coating is applied directly to accessible metal surfaces. Absorbs moisture from the surrounding air.
Protection focus Creates an enclosed corrosion-protection environment around an individual long gun. Protects the surfaces directly covered by the coating. Helps manage moisture in the broader enclosure.
Maintenance Protection is built directly into the film. May require application, reapplication, and removal. Typically requires checking, recharging, or replacement.
Storage experience Dry protection without a heavy preservative coating. Leaves a coating directly on the firearm. Uses a separate packet, canister, or device.
Use with safes and cases Used inside the storage system around an individual firearm. Applied before the firearm is placed into storage. Used to help manage the shared storage environment.

These methods perform different storage jobs and may be used separately or together when appropriate. Victory VCI® provides firearm-level corrosion protection inside the storage system you already use.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the best way to store a hunting rifle between seasons?

Make sure the unloaded rifle is clean and completely dry. Place it inside a Victory VCI® Long Gun Bag, properly close the open end, and return it to its gun safe, hard case, soft case, cabinet, or normal storage location.

The enclosed VCI protection continues helping protect exposed exterior metal and accessible interior metal surfaces against rust and corrosion while the rifle remains stored.

Hunting season ends. Rust protection shouldn't.

Is a gun safe enough to prevent rifle rust?

A gun safe provides security and organization, but environmental conditions inside the safe can still vary. Placing a rifle or shotgun inside a safe does not automatically create dedicated corrosion protection around the metal.

Victory VCI® creates an enclosed corrosion-protection environment around each stored long gun.

Can I store a rifle in a hard or soft gun case long term?

Yes, when the firearm is prepared and protected for extended storage. Hard and soft cases serve important storage and transportation purposes, but those functions do not automatically create dedicated corrosion protection around exposed metal.

Place the clean, dry rifle or shotgun inside a Victory VCI® Long Gun Bag, properly close the opening, and then place it inside the case.

Are gun socks good for long-term rifle storage?

Gun socks come in several designs. Some use silicone-treated fabric, while others incorporate VCI technology. Depending on the product, they may provide scratch protection, corrosion protection, or both.

Victory VCI® Long Gun Bags use a different construction. The firearm is enclosed inside solid 4-mil VCI polyethylene film rather than wrapped in stretch fabric. Once the open end is properly closed, the bag creates a dedicated corrosion-protection environment around the stored long gun.

The key difference is a fabric sleeve versus an enclosed VCI film environment.

Can I use a regular plastic bag to store a rifle?

An ordinary plastic bag may cover the firearm, but standard plastic does not have Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor protection built into the film. Victory VCI® film releases protective vapor inside the properly closed bag, helping protect exposed metal against rust and corrosion.

How does a VCI gun bag protect rifles and shotguns from rust?

The corrosion protection is built directly into the film. Once the bag is properly closed, invisible Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor molecules spread throughout the enclosed space. They surround exposed exterior metal and reach accessible interior metal surfaces where the vapor can circulate. The VCI molecules form a temporary protective layer that helps interrupt the corrosion process.

Why use an open-top VCI bag instead of a zipper or hook-and-loop closure?

A zipper is only fully closed when the slider reaches the end of the track. If it stops short, an opening remains. Hook-and-loop closures depend on the fastening surfaces remaining clean and fully engaged. Lint, fibers, dirt, and debris can collect in the closure over time.

Victory VCI® does not make you depend on a zipper track or fabric closure. The open-top design allows you to fold and tuck, tie, band, tape, or heat seal the bag based on how frequently the firearm will be accessed and how long it will remain stored.

What is the advantage of an open-top VCI gun bag?

The open-top design gives you greater control over how the bag is closed.

  • Fold and tuck for convenient access.
  • Tie or band for easy opening and closing.
  • Tape for seasonal storage.
  • Heat seal for extended storage.

There is no zipper slider that can stop short and no hook-and-loop strip that can collect lint or debris.

Choose the closure. Confirm it is closed. Put it away protected.

Does a VCI gun bag need to be airtight or vacuum sealed?

No. A Victory VCI® bag does not need to be vacuum sealed. The open end should be properly closed so the VCI protection can build and remain within the enclosed space around the firearm. Fold and tuck, tie, band, tape, or heat seal the opening.

Which closure method should I use?

Choose the closure based on how frequently the firearm will be accessed and how long it will remain stored.

  • Fold and tuck – Convenient for frequent access.
  • Tie or band – Easy to open and close.
  • Tape – A secured option for seasonal storage.
  • Heat seal – An option for extended storage.

Closure materials are not included.

Do I need a VCI bag if my gun safe has a dehumidifier?

A safe dehumidifier and a Victory VCI® bag perform different jobs. A dehumidifier helps manage the broader environment inside the safe. Victory VCI® creates an individual enclosed corrosion-protection environment around the stored long gun. They can be used together as separate parts of a firearm storage plan.

Do VCI gun bags require oils, sprays, or desiccants?

No additional oils, sprays, waxes, heavy preservative coatings, or desiccant packs are required to activate Victory VCI® protection. The firearm should still be maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions and must be clean and completely dry before storage.

NO OILS. NO SPRAYS. NO DESICCANTS TO REPLACE. The corrosion protection is built directly into the film.

Can I use VCI bags in a humid basement, garage, or hunting cabin?

Yes. Basements, garages, hunting cabins, and other seasonal storage areas can experience humidity and temperature changes that increase the risk of rust and corrosion. Before bagging, make sure the unloaded firearm is clean, completely dry, and close to the temperature of the storage area. Properly close the bag and keep it away from standing water, leaks, and conditions that could cause heavy condensation.

Victory VCI® creates an enclosed corrosion-protection environment around the stored long gun, but the bag should not be treated as a substitute for a dry, suitable storage location.

Will a 12″ × 48″ VCI bag fit a scoped rifle?

Victory VCI® Long Gun Bags are designed to fit most standard rifles and shotguns, including many with mounted scopes, slings, finished wood stocks, and polymer components.

How long do Victory VCI® Long Gun Bags protect against rust?

Victory VCI® Long Gun Bags provide 3+ years of rust and corrosion protection when properly used. The firearm must be clean and dry, the bag must remain undamaged, and the open end must remain properly closed.

Can Victory VCI® Long Gun Bags be reused?

Yes. The bags can be reused as long as they remain clean, dry, undamaged, and able to be properly closed. Inspect the bag before returning the firearm to storage. Replace it if it becomes torn, punctured, heavily contaminated, or unable to maintain a proper closure.

How should I protect an inherited or heirloom rifle during storage?

Make sure the unloaded firearm is properly maintained, clean, and completely dry. Place it inside a Victory VCI® Long Gun Bag and properly close the open end. The enclosed VCI protection helps protect exposed metal against rust and corrosion during the months or years the firearm may remain stored.

Protect the rifle you plan to hand down.

Are Victory VCI® Long Gun Bags waterproof or moisture-proof?

No. Victory VCI® Long Gun Bags are designed for rust and corrosion protection during storage. They should not be treated as waterproof or moisture-proof containers. Always place only a clean, dry firearm inside the bag and keep it away from standing water, leaks, and heavy condensation.

Are Victory VCI® Long Gun Bags made in the USA?

Yes. Victory VCI® Long Gun Bags are manufactured in the United States and are MIL-DTL-22020E compliant.
